The advantage of the flap is a reduction of backpressure, making it faster to flush the cylinders, improving the flow of exhaust gasses and also increase/decrease in sound effect. Recommended mounting location is between the catalytic converter and exhaust pipe silencer. Flap can open/close in a matter of seconds, and can be set to any position from completely open to completely closed. Resistant to high temperatures.
