After experiencing success with their performance-enhancing products for the Hyundai MK3 i30N and Veloster N, the company decided to develop similar products for the Hyundai Kona N. However, testing revealed that a stepped core intercooler was not the best-performing option due to differences in the Kona N's crash bar design. To address this, the company's engineers used their expertise to hand-form alloy sheet metal and create brackets to mount a larger volume intercooler in the OE position, resulting in a 27% increase in the frontal surface area without affecting other cooling components. They also designed a hand-fabricated ducting system to maximize airflow through the intercooler.

The company increased the intercooler's inlet and outlet sizes to 65mm, resulting in a 27% increase in volume for improved flow. They also replaced the factory pipe on the hot side with a custom hard pipe that has a diameter of 64mm instead of the original 50mm, resulting in maximum performance gains for highly-tuned vehicles. Both the boost pipe and intercooler are coated in black textured powder for durability. To further enhance performance, adding the company's FMBP7 cold side boost pipe is recommended.
