This short shifter fits onto the gearbox tunnel, and suits all manual BMW gearboxes. Made entirely from CNC'd forged 6082 aluminium, this high quality short shifter offers numerous advantages:

• Adjustable gear locking: great feature for race or drift cars, ensuring you always hit the right gear! The integrated mechanism allows you to block access to gears on the left (reverse, 1st and 2nd gear) or on the right (5th and 6th gear). You will avoid mis-shifts, protecting the engine from an accidental gear change from 3->2 instead of a 3->4, which could be fatal for your car, or alternatively a shift from 2->5 instead of a 2->3, affecting your driving performance.
  Simply push the button on the knob at any time to release locking.

We recommend installing this shifter only in vehicles used in competition such as grip, drift, hillclimbs..., with uprated gearbox mounts (the lever being secured to the gearbox tunnel, it is important to limit transmission movements as much as possible).
